Accommodations and Restrictions for Assistance Animals
At Cabo Surf Hotel & Spa, we recognize the importance of assistance animals for individuals with disabilities. To ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests, please review the following policies:
Room Availability
Cabo Surf Hotel & Spa has only 4 rooms specially designated for guests with assistance animals. Guests must contact the hotel by phone before making a reservation to verify availability and confirm their stay.
Permitted Areas and Restrictions
Assistance animals are only allowed in:
- The designated guest room assigned.
- A specific area within the restaurant.
They are not permitted in any other areas of Cabo Surf Hotel & Spa.
Mandatory Requirements
- Present official, updated, and legally valid documentation certifying that the animal is a registered assistance animal in accordance with current regulations.
- The animal must wear a harness, leash, and visible identification at all times indicating that it is an assistance animal.
- Guests must provide an updated veterinary certificate (issued within the last six months) confirming that the animal:
- Has received all required vaccinations for Mexico.
- Is up to date with deworming, including Ehrlichia prevention.
- Is in good overall health.
- The animal must remain under control at all times and should not bark, ensuring it does not pose a risk or disturbance to other guests and hotel staff.
- Assistance animals are not allowed on hotel furniture, including beds, sofas, and chairs.
- All required documentation must be submitted to the hotel before check-in, after confirming the reservation.
Guest Responsibilities
The guest is fully responsible for the animal’s behavior, hygiene, and well-being while inside Cabo Surf Hotel & Spa. Additionally, the guest must:
- Take their assistance animals outside the property to the public parking area for their sanitary needs.
- Clean up after the animal and bring waste bags for disposal.
- Prevent excessive noise or aggressive behavior that may disturb other guests.
- Cover any damage or repairs caused by the animal in the room or common areas.
Policy Violations
If a guest fails to comply with these policies, Cabo Surf Hotel & Spa reserves the right to:
- Deny access to the property.
- Request the removal of the animal from the premises if it poses a risk to the safety, health, or comfort of other guests.
- Apply additional charges for damages and extra cleaning.
